Welcome, parents! We have returned with the third and final session of our Peppa Pig series. Having learnt a fair few lines from this childhood classic, today we will touch upon two new sentence structures. The session comes in the form of a video from one of our experienced teachers, and we will learn how to relate these sentence structures to ourselves, supplementing them with brand new nouns and adjectives. Let’s get started:
Qiáozhì, nǐ xiǎng dāng shénme?
乔治，你 想 当 什么？
George, what do you want to be?
would like to
Wǒ xiǎng dāng yīshēng, wǒ gēge xiǎng dāng kēxuéjiā.
我 想 当 医生，我 哥哥 想 当 科学家。
I want to be a doctor, and my brother wants to be a scientist.
Táoqì de bàba
淘气 的 爸爸
wēnróu de māma
温柔 的 妈妈
yǒnggǎn de mèimei
勇敢 的 妹妹
kě’ài de dìdi
可爱 的 弟弟
cute little brother
shànliáng de jiějie
善良 的 姐姐
kind older sister
We would like to offer our heartfelt gratitude to all you amazing parents, who have taken the time to connect with our session today. Having now broken the barriers to many sentence structures, through the medium of Peppa Pig, your kids are well on their way to acquiring not just linguistic competency, but cultural understanding. Learning Chinese is a truly magical experience, which will open doors to you child’s future, and we are absolutely honored and delighted to be part of this journey with them.
