Mid-autumn Festival

 

Zhōngqiūjié, yuèguāngguāng,
中秋节,       月 光光,

 

Mid-autumn Festival, the moon is shining,

Quánjiā yìqǐ kàn yuèliɑng.
全家      一起 看  月亮。

 

All of us get together to see the moon.

Yuè ér yuán, yuè ér liàng,
月    儿 圆,   月  儿  亮,

 

The moon is round and bright,

yuèbǐng tián, yuèbǐng xiāng.
月饼       甜, 月饼       香。

 

The moon is sweet and delicious.

Chī yuèbǐnɡ, kàn yuèliang,
吃    月饼,   看   月亮,

 

Seeing the moon while eating mooncakes,

Shuōshuōxiàoxiào xǐyángyán.
说说笑笑                喜洋洋。

 

We are talking and laughing happily.

Vocabulary:

1. 月饼   noun   yuèbǐnɡ    mooncakes

Wŏ xĭhuan chī yuèbĭng.
我   喜欢     吃 月饼。

 

I like eating mooncakes.

2. 甜   adjective   tián   sweet

Zhèi zhǒnɡ lí yòutián yòucuì.

Zhèi fàn zhēn xiānɡ.
这    饭   真     香。

 

This meal is really tasty.

Nǐ wén zhèi duǒ méiɡui. Zhēn xiānɡ!
你 闻    这   朵    玫瑰。  真香!
