One pair of small hands,

With ten fingers.

Bān shǒu suàn suànshù,
扳      手      算      算术,  
We account with the fingers,

一  三   五   七  九。  
One, three, five, seven, nine.

Pāishǒu lái chànɡ’ɡē,
拍手        来      唱歌,
We sing while clapping our hands,

Duō lái mī  fā suō.
哆   来   咪  发  唆。 
Do, re, mi, fa, so.

Hùxiānɡ fēn bù kāi,
互相       分    不  开,  
They can’t leave each other,

Dōu shì hǎo pénɡyou.
都     是   好     朋友。  
They are all good friends.
