Listen to the song lyrics

Gāi bù gāi gēxià zhòngzhòng de ké

Should I drop the heavy shell

Xúnzhǎo dàodǐ nǎlǐ  yǒu lántiān

To look for the blue sky

Suízhe qīngqīng de fēng qīngqīng de piāo

Gently floating with the light wind

Lìjīng de shāng dōu bù gǎnjué téng

Haven't felt pain after injury

Wǒ yào yí  bù  yí  bù wǎngshàng pá

I'll keep on climbing step by step

Děngdài yángguāng jìngjìng kàn zhe tā de liǎn

To wait for the sunshine shining on the face of the sky

Xiǎoxiǎo de tiān yǒu dàdà de mèngxiǎng

There is a big dream in the small sky

Zhòngzhòng de ké guǒzhe qīngqīng de yǎngwàng

Being wrapped by the heavy shell I look up to the sky

Wǒ yào yí bù yí  bù wǎngshàng pá

I'll keep on climbing step by step

Zài zuì gāo diǎn chéngzhe yèpiàn wǎngqián fēi

On the highest point in the sky, I fly forward by riding the leaves

Xiǎoxiǎo de tiān liúguò de  lèi hé hàn

The tears and sweat I've shed before are also in the sky.

Zǒng yǒu yì tiān wǒ yǒu shǔyú wǒ de tiān

One day I will have my own sky

Wǒ yào yí bù yí bù wǎngshàng pá

I'll keep on climbing step by step

Zài zuì gāo diǎn chéngzhe yèpiàn wǎngqián fēi

On the highest point in the sky, I fly forward by riding the leaves

Rèn fēng chuīgān liúguò de  lèi hé hàn

Let the wind dry the tears and sweat

Wǒ yào yí bù  yí  bù wǎngshàng pá

I'll keep on climbing step by step

Děngdài yángguāng jìngjìng kàn zhe tā de liǎn

To wait for the sunshine shining on the face of the sky

Xiǎoxiǎo de tiān yǒu dàdà de mèngxiǎng

There is a big dream in the small sky

Wǒ yǒu shǔyú wǒ de tiān

I have the sky that belongs to me

Rèn fēng chuīgān liúguò de lèi hé hàn

Let the wind dry the tears and sweat

Zǒng yǒu yì tiān wǒ yǒu shǔyú wǒ de tiān

One day I will have my own sky

Key Learning Points:

重 (zhòng): adj heavy and 轻 (qīng): adj light

The two Chinese characters "重 (zhòng)" and "轻 (qīng)" are opposites. "重 (zhòng)" means heavy and "轻 (qīng)" means light.

Example:

    Zhège xiāngzi hǎo zhòng ya!

    The box is so heavy!

Wǒmen huàn yí xià ba, wǒ zhège bǐjiào qīng.

Let's switch since mine is a lighter.

静 (jìng): adj quiet

The Chinese character "静 (jìng)" means quite, and people usually use some phrases with the character "静 (jìng),"  such as "安静 (ānjìng) quiet" and "宁静 (níngjìng) tranquil."

 Example:

Nǐ néng bù néng ānjìng yí xià  a,   wǒ zài zhǔnbèi hànyǔ kǎoshì ne.

Can you keep quiet? I am preparing for the Chinese tests.

    Hǎo ba.
B: 好   吧。

    OK.
