Quote of the week (Aug. 10, 2010)

Wǒ shì Lǐ Xiǎolóng de chāojí fěnsī,  tā jiāo huì wǒ zěnyàng yíng qiú.
我   是  李 小龙      的   超级  粉丝,他  教  会   我  怎样       赢    球。

I am a huge fan of Bruce Lee, who taught me how to win the game.

  1. “粉丝” is “fans”? but I know that “粉丝” is a kind of food! Is that how Chinese teenagers call fans?

  2. Yes, “粉丝” is actually a kind of food. Chinese teens use it to express things in interesting ways, so “fans” is transliterated as “粉丝”.

  3. No wonder Chinese teens love Chinese Kungfu so much; in fact, Bruce Lee is a world wide phenomenon.
