Rebecca: Delicious! I’ve never had such delicious duck.

Wánɡ Bō: Shì ā,  wài sū lĭ nèn, xiāng ér bú nì.
王     波:是 啊,外 酥 里 嫩、 香  而  不 腻。
Wang Bo: You’re right! It’s crispy outside but tender inside. Delicious but not oily.

Lì Bèikǎ: Guàibùdé “Bĕijīng Kăoyā” zhème yŏumíng.
丽 贝卡: 怪不得    “北京   烤鸭”     这么   有名。
Rebecca: No wonder Beijing Duck is so famous.

Wánɡ Bō: “Bĕjīng Kăoyā” yŏu hĕnduō zhŏng, gègè fàndiàn de zuòfă bù wánquán yīyàng.
王     波: “北京   烤鸭”   有     很多     种,    各个   饭店   的  做法  不    完全     一样。
Wang Bo: There are so many good restaurants in Beijing and you can find many kinds of roast duck.
Each restaurant has its own recipe.

Rebecca: Oh, I see!

Wánɡ Bō: Chúle kăoyā yĭ wài, zhèér háiyŏu 400 duō zhŏng tèsè cài ne.
王     波:  除了  烤鸭  以 外, 这儿  还有  400   多    种     特色 菜 呢。
Wang Bo: In addition to roast duck, there are over 400 special dishes at Quanjude.

Wang Bo: Yes. There’s a saying in Chinese “Min yi shi wei tian”.

Rebecca: What does it mean?

Wánɡ Bō: Yìsi shì: “chī”, duìyú rénmen lái shuō, shì zuì zhòngyào de.
王    波:意思 是:“吃”,对于  人们    来 说,  是  最    重要     的。
Wang Bo: It means “eating” is the most important thing for the masses.

Lì Bèikǎ: Zhège wŏ tóngyì.
丽 贝卡:这个  我  同意。
Rebecca: fully agree.

Wánɡ Bō: Kànlái nĭ yĕ shì gè mĕishíjiā.
王      波:看来  你 也 是  个  美食家。
Wang Bo: It seems you’re also a gourmet.
