Foreign Volunteers in China ready to help before Olympics:

Eli and her American companions, in the picture, were teaching Olympic English to some passersby in the streets of Shenyang, in hope of dedicating a self strength to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
They are all English teachers from a local middle school in the city and have long been dedicated to spreading Olympic English all around by distributing relevant materials or tutoring the citizens on the scene.
Thanks to their effort, Olympic English learning activities are in full swing in progress in Shenyang.

Overseas volunteers look forward to seven-week in Beijing:

Joshua Jerga, relaxing his athletic body in a chair with his letter of commitment in hand, said the thing he expected most as an Olympic volunteer was to enjoy the next seven weeks in Beijing.
“It’s like one big love party, (it) brings everyone together,” he said.
Jerga was among 40 students from Australia’s University of Newcastle who flew into Beijing early on July 10th and joined the rest of the 292 overseas volunteers who will serve with the Olympic News Service during the Games.
No matter whether the foreign volunteers are directly or indirectly serving the Olympics, they are passing the great Olympic spirit.
