Teen Chinese Lessons (10 to 17 years old)

Teen Chinese Classes are designed for students aged 10 to 17. These Chinese classes help teens learn Chinese by playing games and discussing fun topics. In teen Chinese classes, students will receive systematic training in all four aspects of the Chinese language: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Our teen Chinese classes are divided into 6 different levels, ranging from Beginner to Advanced level, which can help teens achieve their Chinese learning goals step by step.

Teen Chinese Course Level Chart

Teen Chinese Lessons Level 1

1.This level is designed for students who have never taken Chinese classes online before and can not read Pinyin or Chinese characters.

2. At this level, students will learn about topics such as greetings, self-introductions, and so on. Students will also learn Pinyin and basic strokes of Chinese characters.

Teen Chinese Lessons Level 2

1. This level is designed for teens who can use familiar words to answer simple questions in areas of immediate need or about basic daily topics. Students can read Pinyin in Chinese classes and recognize basic strokes of Chinese characters.

2. In this level, students will learn about topics such as countries, time, weather, inquiring about information, and so on. Students will also learn to write Chinese characters.

Teen Chinese Lessons Level 3

1. This level is designed for teens who can discuss familiar topics using short sentences, provided that the dialogue is read slowly. Students can read short dialogues related to daily life.

2. In this level, students will learn about topics such as shopping, seeing a doctor, asking for directions, ordering food, and so on. Students will learn to read longer dialogues. Students will learn more Chinese characters as well.

Teen Chinese Lessons Level 4

1. This level is designed for teens who can ask and answer questions with long sentences on familiar topics in predictable everyday situations.

2. At this level, students will learn about topics such as sports, playing games, celebrations, traveling plans, and so on. Chinese stories of idioms, folk tales, and ancient poems may also be taught.

Teen Chinese Lessons Level 5

1. This level is designed for teens who can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity. Students can read longer articles and narrate a story.

2. In this level, students will learn about topics such as social activities, future study plans, jobs, places of interest in China, and so on. Students will read different styles of articles such as narratives, expository prose, argumentative essays, and so on.

Teen Chinese Lessons Level 6

1. This level is designed for teens who can use Chinese accurately and effectively on a wide range of topics in Chinese classes. Students can read different styles of texts and gather useful information from different parts of a text without difficulty.

2. At this level, students will study famous writings, news reports, ancient poems, and selected readings of contemporary Chinese literature. Students will learn to write complex articles or essays which present a case, or give critical views.
