Yǒu yī zhī qīng wā zhù zài jǐng dǐ.
有一只青蛙住在井底。
There was a frog living at the bottom of a well.

Tā jué de tiān zhǐ yǒu jǐng kǒu nà me dà.
他觉得天只有井口那么大。
He thought the sky was only as big as the well’s opening.

Yī tiān, yī zhī hǎi guī lái dào jǐng biān.
一天,一只海龟来到井边。
One day, a sea turtle came to the well.

Qīng wā shuō:”Tiān zhǐ yǒu zhè me dà.”
青蛙说:“天只有这么大。”
The frog said, “The sky is only this big.”

Hǎi guī xiào le:”Tiān kě dà le, bǐ jǐng dà duō le.”
海龟笑了:“天可大了,比井大多了。”
The sea turtle laughed: “The sky is huge, much bigger than the well.”

Qīng wā cái zhī dào zì jǐ jiàn shi tài shǎo le.
青蛙才知道自己见识太少了。
The frog then realized how little he had seen.

Zhōng guó huà shuō, “jǐng dǐ zhī wā”.
中国话说:“井底之蛙”。
This is “Jǐng Dǐ Zhī Wā” – a frog with limited vision.
