乌鸦喝水(wūyā hēshuĭ) How did a Thirsty Crow Successfully Drink Water?

①一只乌鸦口渴了,到处找水喝。
    yìzhī wūyā kŏukĕ le, dàochù zhăo shuĭ hē.
    A crow felt thirsty and was looking for water everywhere.

②这时,乌鸦看见一个瓶子。瓶子里有水,可是瓶子很高,瓶口很小,
    里边的水又少,它喝不着。怎么办呢?
    zhèshí, wūyā kànjiàn yígè píngzi. píngzi lĭ yŏu shuĭ, kĕshì píngzi hĕn gāo,
     píngkŏu hĕn xiăo, lĭbiān de shuĭ yòu shăo, tā hē bù zháo. zĕnme bàn
     ne?

    At this point, the crow saw a bottle with water. But the bottle was high with
    a small opening and there was only a little water in it. The crow could
    not get to the water. What could he do?

③乌鸦看见旁边有许多小石子,它想了想,有办法了!
    wūyā kànjiàn pángbiān yŏu xŭduō xiăo shízĭ, tā xiăng le xiăng, yŏu bànfă le!
    The crow saw many little stones around him. He suddenly got an idea.

④乌鸦把小石子一个个叼起来,放到瓶子里。瓶子里的水慢慢升高,乌鸦就喝着水了。
    wūyā bă xiăo shízĭ yí gè gè diāo qĭlái, fàng dào píngzi lĭ. píngzi lĭ de shuĭ mànmàn shēnggāo, wūyā jiù hē zháo     shuĭ le.
    The crow held the stones by his teeth one by one and then put them in the bottle. Gradually, the water rose and     the crow could finally have a drink.

Now from the story, what do you think of the crow? When facing difficulties, you should learn from the crow and manage to find a solution to overcome difficulties.

Recognize the characters:
1. 喝() drink & 渴() thirsty
i.e. 我很渴,想喝水。
       wŏ hĕn kĕ, xiăng hēshuĭ.
       I'm very thirsty and I want to drink water.
2. 乌() black & 鸟(niăo) bird
i.e. 这种鸟的名字叫乌鸦。
       zhè zhŏng niăo de míngzi jiào wūyā.
       This kind of bird is called crow.
