Chinese apologies
Chinese people say 鈥淚 beg your pardon鈥 or 鈥渟orry鈥 for having done wrong, having disturbed people or having caused trouble. The apologetic expressions of 鈥渄u矛 b霉 q菒鈥 (awfully sorry) and 鈥渉臎n b脿o qi脿n鈥 (pardon me) are applicable to, for example, accidental damage, trampling on one鈥檚 toes or breaking an appointment.
